You must have an international driving permit with a motorcycle endorsement. Without it, you risk fines of 500 to 1,000 THB. Note that the international permit is only valid if it includes the motorcycle endorsement.
Avoid driving without a helmet or shirt to prevent being stopped unnecessarily.
At PhuketAndYou, we rent scooters and motorbikes only to clients who hold at least a valid car driver’s license from their home country. No deposit or passport required. If you don’t have a car license, you cannot rent from us, as it’s a minimum requirement. Our insurance is activated only with a valid car driver’s license.
